What Truly Makes Me Happy
Published on 6 June 2025 at 09:44
Although it is true,
that there may be waves,
that ripple the distance between us,
that you nor I can deny—
no obstacle will ever be too great,
for you to find me, or I to you.
We are artists of our own kind,
crafting words and song,
painting the landscape of our dreams,
and finding what feels right,
in a world where sparks are so easily lost.
But not yours—
it shines, it awakens,
it gives hope to the forsaken.
And I was a ship lost at sea,
waiting for your light to guide me,
to find my way to treasured shores.
And such treasure had I found,
within your heartbeat.
Such a melodic sound—
the perfect frequency.
And even in friendship,
I value you greatly,
and would do anything you asked of me,
because I care so deeply,
for the human that you are,
and the human you help me be.
I expect nothing from you,
but will give everything to you,
because your happiness matters to me,
and I wish to see you succeed—
I really do,
even if it’s not with me.
Simply being your friend,
is what truly makes me happy.
