003. Crow's Alley

I sit in utter despair as I gaze,

Crows, encircling above a lonely path

That leads not to happiness

But to an unknown, tragic aftermath.

It is the only road I could tell

Where I knew I would not be

Enslaved by the madness inside

Stringing myself from a single knee

Upside down I now hung, alone

Before the treacherous street

I could not find any such hope

As I swung, I could not find a key

Back and forth, side to side

Head pounding, blood boiling

Turning, and turning, frozen

Fearing that I may begin to cry

But to weep is to accept

The defeat of one’s inner self

As it hangs in the realm of evil

Finding what makes our pain so real

I try, as I try to make a break

But nothing seems to work

I could give up, and fall to my demise

But then I could no longer arise

Through such a defeating cause

My life, falling, yet still attached

To the evil within, you see

What may lie in front of us

May not be what you truly see

As we follow only what our eyes bleed

Encircling above our final passage,

Our last voyage through Crow’s Alley.
