Deep, dark, and terrifying
May our souls burn so passionately
To forgive ourselves, yet still pained
By the endless darkness we seek
A bleak loneliness, you may know
But deep down, it is the fear of lost hope
I can not explain my sorrows, nor yours
But it seems to be seeping out into the world
Behind closed doors, beneath the surface
Under the broken skin, the open pores
Spewing emotions, flowing as if a river
Conflicting thoughts, trying to find answers
But brought to the attention of my dying heart
As if yours strays too distant, much too far
For one’s feelings to travel, yet you try
To give yourself to me, before I utterly die
And thus, I am thankful, for you, my love
As I shall swim in a sea of turtle doves
Forever alone, yet always there, at heart
But my dying soul seeks only to,
to never drift, and to never fall apart.
