229. When Your Dreams Can Fly

What is right without left?

What is wrong without right?

What is up without down?

What is music without sound?

What are dogs without cats?

Why do they chase each other around?

Why do people wear silly hats?

Why are we all glued to the ground?

Why don’t we just float away,

and not hang on for dear life?

Why is gravity in the way,

when all we wish to do is fly?

What is a fish without the sea?

What is a tree without its roots?

What is reality when we can’t see,

and even more so, what is it without you?

What is fire without oxygen in the air?

What is rain without a cloud?

What is a tortoise without a hare?

What is silence if it is never loud?

What is love without a kiss?

What is it—the meaning of it all?

Why do we get back up when we fall?

Why not give up the chance when it’s missed?

Why is there always some kind of why,

when all you have to do is look to the stars?

All your answers may fall from the sky,

where your dreams can fly ever so far.
