236. Wind Up Toys

We are all wind up toys

inside a cardboard box,

waiting to be wound up,

just like a ticking clock.

There is no way to tell

what’s on the other side

of this cardboard box

that holds down our lives.

The only way to find out

is to go out and explore,

to climb the walls of fear,

and discover so much more.

Let go of that awful anxiety.

All it’s doing is holding you back

from achieving your goals,

and keeping yourself on track.

And sometimes we lose our way,

sometimes we wish to forget,

and pretend that we’re alright.

And sometimes, we just wish to reset.

For we all have broken hearts

that we may glue together,

so that they will beat again,
