My heartbeat breathed upon the summer reeds,
As we danced under the moonlit night sky.
So calm was the passion between our gaze,
That it even brought hell towards the light.
I saw the unraveling of my heart,
as I bled from each of my open wounds,
and I chased her memory in the stars.
My heart let go—a deflated balloon.
There was nothing there for me not to love,
save the heartbeat I placed upon my shelf.
And so, I would find my heaven above,
With her by my side I could find myself.
